Wrestle Mania Heritage Series Stone Cold Steve Austin

In honor of Wrestle Mania XXXVI Mattel has come out with a new Wrestle Mania Heritage Series.  We received the Stone Cold Steve Austin Doll.

This was a huge hit in my house.  Golferdad has loved WWE since I have know him.  He even wanted to name our baby Haley Hunter Hardin so she would be named liked Triple H.  I overrode him on that one but that is how much he loves WWE.  He has placed the action figure in the game room and loves it.  Now it has not come out of the package since he knows it is a collectors item.

We will be watching Wrestle Mania tonight at our house.  If you would like to know how to watch it at your house check here.  Have to go now to fix the snacks for our party.  Hope you all watch to and let me know how you liked it tomorrow.

Free Willy: Escape from Pirates Cove Review

I remember when the first Free Willy came out.  I loved that movie.  I was teaching third grade and the kids in my class decided they were going to create a save the whale fund.  Those kids impressed me by raising over 100.00 to the cause. So, when I heard that a new Free Willy movie was coming out I was thrilled.  I was even more thrilled when I was chosen to receive a review copy from Warner Brothers. Just by chance Golfergirl is in third grade this year. Might her and her friends get the same urge my third graders had.  Only time will tell.
Fans of the Free Willy series will cheer this exciting family film about a baby orca who needs a friend and a girl who finds the courage to help him.  After young Kirra (Bindi Irwin) leaves her Australian home to summer with her grandfather (Beau Bridges) in South Africa, she soon discovers a baby orca stranded in the lagoon near her grandfather's rundown seaside amusement park.  She names the lonely whale Willy and embarks on a quest to lead the little guy back to his anxious pod before her grandfather's greedy rival turns Willy into a captive, moneymaking attraction at his slick theme park.  A little girl, a little orca and big fun and adventure!

Golfergirls review of the movie:
The movie was great.  I loved the orca Willy.  The best part of the movie was when Kirra rode Willy.   I wish I could ride a whale someday.  It was sad when they wanted to keep Willy in a cage but then he found his family.

Golfersmom review of the movie:
I liked the movie a lot.  It has a lesson of forgiveness, friendship, and doing the right thing no matter what others think.  Kirra fought to save Willy when others were telling her to give up and there was no hope.  I liked the lesson in the movie.  I can not talk a lot about the other lessons without giving the movie away and I do not want to do that.

You should watch the movie yourself.  Watch it with your kids so you can talk about it while you are watching it or right after watching it.

Buy it:  The movie was released March 23,2010

Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel Soundtrack Review

Golfergirl loves Alvin and the Chipmunks so when the Squeakquel came out we had to go watch it. She loved the movie and really liked the music from the movie. She sang some of the songs all the way home.

We received the CD on Friday and Golfergirl could not wait to get it out and start listening to it. She was signing and bouncing up and down along with every song. There was two songs that she absolutely loved. Single Ladies Put a Ring On It by the Chipettes and I Got A Feeling by the Chipmunks and the Chipettess

This fifteen track - 50 minute - disc has The Chipmunks and Chipettes covering an eclectic mix of current pop hits, 70's disco songs, recent R&B hits and there are even a couple of classic rock tunes thrown in for good measure. Most of the songs are reinterpreted as pulsing, high energy dance mixes that feature the voices of The Chipmunks / The Chipettes but musicians Honor Society, Queensberry and Charice Pempengco add guest vocals on three of the tracks.
I admit that I was not sure if I was going to like hearing the Chipmunks singing a Black Eye Pea song, but it is a really cute soundtrack. I recommend anyone buying this CD.

Tracks on the CD

1. You Really Got Me - The Chipmunks (feat. Honor Society)

2. Hot N Cold - The Chipettes

3. So What - The Chipettes

4. You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) - The Chipmunks

5. Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) - The Chipettes

6. Bring It On - The Chipmunks

7. Stayin' Alive - The Chipmunks

8. Song - The Chipettes (feat. Queensberry)

9. It's OK - The Chipmunks

10. Shake Your Groove Thing - The Chipmunks

11. Put Your Records on - The Chipettes

12. I Want To Know What Love Is - The Chipmunks

13. We Are Family - The Chipettes & The Chipmunks

14. No One - The Chipettes (feat. Charice)

15. I Gotta Feeling - The Chipettes & The Chipmunks

I would recommend this CD to anyone with a child that loves music and the Chipmunks. How can you go wrong with that??

I was given the CD as part of a project with Warner Brothers Word of Mouth team#WBWord.

Scarecrow and Mrs, King DVD release

Scarecrow and Mrs. King: The Complete First Season Scarecrow and Mrs. King was one of my favorite shows while I was in High School.  I had this mad crush on Scarecrow.  I was very happy when I got to review the first season of Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

Synopsis:  Goodbye, PTA...hello, foreign intrigue! Single mom Amanda King leads a quiet suburban life in Washington, DC until the day a dashing stranger shoves a package in her hands with instructions to give it to the man in the red hat.  In no time, Amanda is dodging bullets, foiling assassination plots- and finding herself drawn to the dashing stranger, agent Lee Stetson, aka Scarecrow. Of course, Scarecrow has no interest in a disty amateur spy, no matter how pretty.  But she certainly is handy in a crisis! Share the Season One fun with the stars Kate Jackson and Bruce Boxxleitner in this fast paced 5- Disc, 21 Episode Set of the lighthearted series that proves laughs and romance are powerful weapons in the battle to protect national security.

The DVD released March 9, 2010
