"I Just Knew You Were Kin to Him"

I got this in the mail today and just had to share it with you. I do not know the author of this, it came in our church news letter today.

" I Just Knew You were Kin to Him"

There is a wonderful story about a woman in Birmingham who, on a cold winter morning saw a little boy standing outside a bakery. It was snowing and sleeting and the little boy was barefooted and had no coat. He was trying to warm himself with the air coming up from the bakery grating. The woman's heart went out to the boy. She couldn't stand seeing him shivering in the cold. She bought him a nice coat ans some shoes and socks. He thanked her and then asked her a surprising question:

"Lady, are you God's wife?" She was embarrassed by the question at first, but then she replied, "No, I'm not God's wife, but I am one of his children" The little boy grinned and said, " I knew it! I knew it! I just knew you were some kin to him" Can people tell by the way you live that you are one of God's children" That's something to think about, isn't it?

Wonder Pets Ollie's Slumber Party Review/Giveaway

I don't know about your house but I can sing the whole theme song to the Wonder Pets and not miss a word. I know I need to get out more. Brookster however loved the Wonder Pets. We watched it everyday. We also had a lot of the DVD's.

However, Ollie is so excited to have the Wonder Pets sleep over that he cannot fall asleep. The Wonder Pets sleep over that he cannot fall asleep. The Wonder Pets use teamwork and sheep costumes to help Ollie count sheep and soon Ollie falls fast asleep.

Update on Rufus

Just wanted to give everyone an update on Rufus. In case you do not know Rufus, you can go here or here . I took Rufus to the vet Saturday for his shots and to get him checked out since we did not know anything about him. The vet told us Rufus was a full bloodied Lab that had been abused. He said his jaw had been broken at one time and healed back crooked. I had never noticed it and he can eat anything you put in front of him. Rufus did cower done when my DH came around him but I just thought he did not know him well. The vets said the way he was acting showed that he had been abused by a man. I just can not believe someone could do that to an innocent puppy. Rufus is a big puppy but the vet said he was only about 3 to 4 months old. Rufus is going to be a big dog.

Rufus is very happy now. Brookster gets out and runs with him everyday. He is still a puppy and getting into puppy things. He took the cushions off my outside chair today and made a bed for himself. He brings me presents to the door as well, today he brought me: a plastic shovel, charcoal lighter, a ball and a rock. He loves me and wants me to have presents. He is so sweet. I am glad we decided to keep him even though when I tears things up I begin to wonder...........
