CMT Working Class Review

This week I had the opportunity to preview CMT’s first scripted sitcom, Working Class, starring TV veteran Melissa Peterman (you may remember her from the hit show "Reba") along with Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Ed Asner.  I was excited about the opportunity since I have loved Ed Asner since the Mary Tyler Show.

So here is what the show is about:
"The new 12 episode, multi-camera series follows Carli Mitchell (Melissa Peterman), a single mom from a rough and tumble background, trying to give her three kids a better life by moving them to an upscale suburb. She quickly finds that making the transition to “the good life” is harder than she thought. She's unwittingly befriended by her cranky neighbor, Hank (Ed Asner), her only “career” prospect is a glorified deli job at the local grocery store, and the man she falls for not only already has a girlfriend – but he’s also her boss, Rob (Patrick Fabian). With her ladies-man brother, Nick (Steve Kazee), to help her out (when he’s not acting like one of the kids himself), Carli faces the challenges of parenting, dating, and making friends in her new community by doing more with less, staying true to herself and approaching each day with a touch of working class."

I found the show to be funny and wanting to see more.  It is nice to just see a regular family show about just trying to survive.

Thanks to One2One network for the opportunity to review this show but all opinions are mine.

Time off

I just wanted everyone to know that I am taking time off for a while. I have gotten a part time job and Haley has so much homework that I do not have time for the blog. I hope to start blogging again by Christmas. Thanks to everyone for your support over the years. It is best for my family to take this break.

Face painting

Golfergirl loves to have her face painted. Everytime she sees a face painting booth she is there. This time she had a sunshine painted on one side and a flower on the other.

I just love seeing things thru her eyes. She gets so excited about everything. That excitment rubs off on everyone around her. She is my blessing from God.

Our Martin bird friend

Haley has outgrown her little tykes basketball goal but the Martins love it. A family of Martins has raised behind it. One of them came out yesterday. Golfergirl was so excited that the bird let us get so close to take the picture.
This is one of the reasons I love living in the country. Golfergirl has seen some of Gods creatures up close that she would not have gotten to see in the city.

Tales of a Fourth Grader

Golfergirl started fourth grade last week and it has been quiet a change for us. They are changing classes this year for the first time. She seems to be excited about it. Mom on the other hand is not so excited. I see it having to keep up with 4 teachers instead of one. I thought this did not start until middle school. I have agreed to have an open mind on the subject. Please pray for us that this works. I want my honor roll girl to stay that way. Thanks for your support.
