Update on Rufus

Just wanted to give everyone an update on Rufus. In case you do not know Rufus, you can go here or here . I took Rufus to the vet Saturday for his shots and to get him checked out since we did not know anything about him. The vet told us Rufus was a full bloodied Lab that had been abused. He said his jaw had been broken at one time and healed back crooked. I had never noticed it and he can eat anything you put in front of him. Rufus did cower done when my DH came around him but I just thought he did not know him well. The vets said the way he was acting showed that he had been abused by a man. I just can not believe someone could do that to an innocent puppy. Rufus is a big puppy but the vet said he was only about 3 to 4 months old. Rufus is going to be a big dog.

Rufus is very happy now. Brookster gets out and runs with him everyday. He is still a puppy and getting into puppy things. He took the cushions off my outside chair today and made a bed for himself. He brings me presents to the door as well, today he brought me: a plastic shovel, charcoal lighter, a ball and a rock. He loves me and wants me to have presents. He is so sweet. I am glad we decided to keep him even though when I tears things up I begin to wonder...........

Picuture of Rufus

Some people had asked for a picture of Rufus, so I went out and took one tonight. Here is the little guy. He is really a sweet puppy but he is a puppy. I went outside tonight and he had caught a turtle and was eating it. Poor Poor Turtle. Let Rufus out of my sight for a few minutes and he goes to hunting. Brookster told him that was gross and the turtle never did any thing to him. She then asked if she was as bad as Rufus as a baby. I told her she never ate a turtle. She turned around and said I thought so. I will keep you posted on the antics of Rufus. I am so afraid that there are going to be so many more LOL.
